Bildex Contracting Company was founded in 1976 on a vision of realizing developments to serve the future. Headquartered in Beirut, Lebanon, and with principle activities in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Bildex has since its inception continued to build on its core competencies, positioning itself as one of the region's prominent project development and construction groups, and setting the benchmark in project management and execution, workmanship quality, and client satisfaction.

The first major development by Bildex, a 17-floor tower in Abu Dhabi commissioned by the Abu Dhabi General Transport Company, was completed in 1979. Following the successful execution of this project, Bildex spearheaded an array of multi-purpose projects throughout the capital ranging from office and residential towers to mixed-use urban projects and villas. The company is widely accredited for shaping the Abu Dhabi Corniche skyline, with the construction of several iconic high-rises such as the Baniyas Tower - the first building designed with a curtain wall exterior, escalator system, indoor swimming pools, and cantilevered slabs - and constructed by a local company in Abu Dhabi.
